trophyThanks for your support in ensuring that the Court was built. The girls won the competition again.

Netball has been a sport that Portland Cottage Primary formerly Portland Cottage All Age, loves and participate in. We were competitive and we did fairly well, although we did not have a proper netball court.

Thanks to the Sports Development Foundation we were gifted with a multipurpose court and this has helped our netball improve leaps and bounds. We were able to retain our INSPORT netball title again. With our new court we will be working very hard to be champions again in 2023.

jennell houstonThe Southern Basketball Conference and the mother of Miss Jennell Houston wishes to express our gratitude to the SDF for providing financial support to Miss Houston enabling her to access her scholarship offer to attend the North Florida Educational Institure recently.

Miss Houston left the island on Tuesday November 8, 2022 and so far the feed back from the coaches have been most encouraging.jennell houston2

Without the support of the SDF this would not have been possible for her and behalf of everybody we wish to express our gratitude and thanks.

Miss Houston we are sure, is very much aware of the responsibility on her shoulders to make maximum use of this opportunity.

The Eastern Secondary Schools Sports Association extends gratitude to you for the donation of Eight Hundred Thousand Dollars to enable the hosting of our event at the National Stadium. This certainly assisted us greatly in defraying the cost of the event.

I am happy that you were kind enough to contribute to the development of our young and talented athletes who got the opportunity to showcase their athletic capabilities at such a momentous event as Eastern Championships.

Again I express sincere gratitude and wish the Sports Development Foundation every success in their future endeavours.

The Linstead Community Development Committee along with the following organizations namely: St. Helens Youth Group, the Rotary Club of North St. Catherine, the Optimist Club of North St. Catherine and the Optimist Club of Ewarton hosted their Annual Summer Youth Camp under the theme, Celebrating thirty (30) years of youth and community development through summer youth camping.

Through your generous contribution this year’s summer camp experience was phenomenal, as we celebrated our thirtieth (30th) anniversary year of camping in full style. We were able to adequately facilitate campers between ages of seven (7) to twenty ( 20) years old from churchesuniformed groups, community groups, as well as those with disabilities.

The camp that was held over the period of August 8th-22nd 2022 sought to build integral life skills while we still practiced the safety measures to prevent the Novel Corona Virus. Team building was the foundation of the camp and expressing gratitude through the spirit of volunteerism.

The Linstead Community Development Committee wishes to express its unwavering appreciation for the help received. With your contributions you have helped to change lives and restore the hopes of a brighter future. Thank you for your continuous support as we continue to build our communities, parishes and our country Jamaica; land we love.

On behalf of the St. Mary Cricket Association, I would like to thank you and your organization for your generous assistance with the staging of our annual Youth Summer Cricket Academy. Your contribution over the past two years has gone a long way in helping our parish rise to the pinnacle of Jamaicas cricket.

You have no idea how much your assistance means to us in a tough economic climate and at the appropriate time, we will display our appreciation in a more tangible way.

Our youngsters are rearing to go and send their regards.

We look forward to your kind consideration and further dialogue as you see fit. We thank you for your kind consideration and look forward to a continued fruitful and rewarding partnership.

Manchester Club in general and the tennis club specifically would like to take this opportunity to thank you and SDF for accepting and awarding our request for funds. Immediately the funds will be put to use on repairing our 3 tennis courts. We hope to have some fabulous pictures to post within a few weeks and you all are always invited to come by to see the progress or end product.

All the tennis members send you all big Cheers! As you can imagine, we have finally moved from dreaming of great courts to actually seeing the first steps towards that goal.

We realise that there must be many courts island wide who need assistance, so we are grateful for these funds granted to us. Our tennis club is located at the oldest golf club in the western hemisphere, so having pristine courts to better serve Mandeville, all of Jamaica and all our visitors from abroad, is important.

Again, none of this would have been possible if it wasn’t for you and your team at SDF’s consideration and inevitable generosity.

Norman Spence
President / Manchester Club

We cannot thank you enough for your kind donation of One Million Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($1,500,000.00) which definitely helped with airfares to the 2022 Special Olympics USA Games in Orlando, Florida.

The athletes trained very hard and they went to the Games and delivered. Special Olympics Jamaica participated in Athletics, Bocce, Open Water Swim and Swimming. We captured 5 Golds, 5 Silver, Bronze and 9 ribbons across all events.

Once again, thanks for giving our athletes a chance to showcase their talent on the world stage and make our country proud.

Thank you SDF, and we are looking forward to a continued mutually beneficial relationship.
